Similarities: "Dual" personality which manifests randomly, rather than on a time. Likewise, Graeme's Scottish heritage matches up with the fact that Stevenson was Scottish himself. Both Jekyll and Graeme are/will be doctors.

The Photographs

Hair: Graeme has naturally dark hair, although it switches between dirty blond in the summer and when he's been outside, and a darker blond / dark brown during the cooler or winter months. Graeme generally keeps his hair clean and well groomed, although if he's just rolling out of bed, well, that's a different story.

Eyes: Graeme has bright blue eyes, that seem to change when his personality switches. His normal bright eyes tend to turn slightly darker when he's having a bad moment, but switch back to being bright again as he turns happier. His eyes are the easiest way to read this young man's mood.

Weight & Height: Graeme isn't the heaviest, weighing in at just over one hundred thirty five pounds. Then again, while he's tall, standing at just over six feet, his weight doesn't put much fat on his body. He's not necessarily stick thin, either -- he has plenty of muscle and while his ribs might show, he does eat enough for two people. His active lifestyle just keeps him busy.

Facial Features: Graeme likes to keep himself clean shaven, almost all year around. Sure, some stubble sometimes sneaks onto his face, but nine out of ten times, he prefers the clean shaven look. His eyes are set under narrow eyebrows, and his nose is small, dented in the middle. Graeme rather has an attractive face when he's in a good mood -- always smiling and happy, although when his mood turns south, his face becomes darker, like a storm cloud.

Other Information: Graeme enjoys loose clothing, generally dull pastel colors or neutral colors. Whether it's for class or for work, Graeme always has an extra set of scrubs on him, and an extra set of clothes, regardless. He tends to prefer shorts and teeshirts over heavy winter clothes, but either way -- as long as they're comfortable, he's not going to complain.

The Personality

LIKES & DISLIKES
MEDICINE One of Graeme's biggest interests is helping people... and he believes he can do this best through medicine. Not only is he a classified "nutjob" around both his hometown and Ozryn, the partially Disassociative young man wants to fight fire with fire. Or, well, medicine with medicine. He's always wanted to be a doctor -- he's not sure the reason or the connection, but hey; his parents were always that "if you want to do it, go for it" type of people. So he did. Graeme's strength in medicine is Pharmacology, probably because of the amount of medicine he has to take in a day to offset his issues, with a second strength in pediatrics... what can he say? It's not his fault he can make kids smile.

HIS BROTHER If there was one person in Graeme's life whom he would trust with everything -- absolutely everything -- then it would be his older brother, Lenox. Lenox was his rock growing up, and even as Graeme decided to start his life adventures to the United States, Lenox was there walking the path with him. Graeme's sense of familiarity and comfort when he's with his brother calms his weird moods and issues -- and when he's having a particularly bad day, or struggling with his so called "imaginary friends" that he can't stop seeing... well, let's just say the only one who can really get him focused is Lenox. Graeme would most likely fall completely apart if his brother wasn't around.

SCHOOL It's not so much the fact that Graeme likes school for the work, or even for the social events. Let's be real, Graeme was never the Grade A student, nor was he ever really that social... but he does like school. His love of school is somewhat a love-hate relationship: he loves it because it keeps him focused and busy, but he hates it because of all the extra work he struggles with. As he grew up, Graeme's dislike of school became a like, and soon enough, he was excelling at it. Okay, maybe 'excelling' is the wrong word. How about we say casually managing the school thing?

HIMSELF The thing that Graeme hates more than, well, his imaginary friends is himself. He really has a hard time grasping the whole "love yourself" issue. Since he was a kid, he's never felt quite at home -- and as he's managed to come into his own as a Ragston University student, he's really felt like he's more of himself as of late. But that doesn't mean he really likes himself. While he's smiling on the outside, he's angry and bitter on the inside. Why is he this way? Why can't he just be normal? All the questions that plague him, and none of the answers to satisfy him.

IDLE TIME Graeme is the type of person who has to do something: whether it's with his full body, his mind, his hands or well, anything. If he doesn't do something, well, things start to go south. Graeme, therefore, really dislikes idle time. Idle time in his head is bad time, because bad times come when he's idle. It's really a loop. He always carries around something in his bag to keep him occupied, should he ever had extended periods of time (like bus or car rides... although, if he can, he'll walk nine out of ten times). Crossword puzzles, phone games and classical music all keep him occupied... but when the idleness sets in, Graeme goes a little nutty.

WINTER For a boy who was born at the start of the year, in a wintry storm, Graeme absolutely despises winter. Sure, it's good for the whole Earth reviving thing, but Graeme doesn't like it. Nope, not one bit. He is a boy who is avidly always outside, and in the midst of nature, so when the weather turns to thick coats, mittens and woolen hats, he's quite comfortable by the fire in his apartment and with a cup of tea. It doesn't help that when Graeme's indoors for long periods of time, his personality disorder really starts to come out. Talk about stir crazy.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
OUTGOING If anyone ever had to introduce Graeme, on a good day, they'd call him outgoing. Even with his issues, and his lack of self-confidence, Graeme is the friendliest guy anyone can know. Graeme will go out of his way to help anyone -- from cuts and bruises to offering money to the homeless. But, at the same time, he'll go out of his way to make new people feel comfortable around others, or even himself. His outgoing nature is definitely a charming point. At least, well, he thinks so.

FOCUSED Because Graeme suffers from not being focused, this young man was quick to learn to be focused. He had to. Being focused offers comfort in his mind, and he isn't as off kilter when he's unfocused. In simple terms: being focused is a super good thing. Whether it's school, work, interning, or with his friends and family, Graeme's focus is a branch of determination... and once he's got his focus on something, it's really hard to break.

PERSONALITY DISORDER Graeme has a problem, and it's called Disassociative Personality Disorder. It doesn't sound as bad as Graeme feels about it. With a head on collision of seeing things in greys (not literally in black and white, but greys as in 'are you doing that because you love me?' or 'are you doing that because you hate me?') and sleep walking, that's just the obvious situations. Graeme has a handful of friends only he can see -- maybe it's a coping mechanism for his problems, or maybe they're really there. Who knows -- well, besides Graeme. But to be honest, it's one of his biggest weaknesses.

MYSTERIOUS No matter how much Graeme wants to be your best friend, there's always going to be things Graeme purposely leaves out. Graeme, you see, is rather a mysterious character. As much as he'd like to let everyone know all his deep, dark secrets, he just can't. Even on his best days, where the sun is shining and it's warm enough to go outside, etc., he'll withhold information. He's definitely the strangest of the bunch, and when he goes quiet? Well, he's not judging you, he swears. He's just... well, there's the air of mystery.

Personality
Hopes: Graeme hopes to spread awareness for those who suffer from mental distress like he does.
Dreams: Graeme dreams of being a doctor and one day going back to Scotland.
Goal: To cure his condition, and to help others.

Overall Personality: Graeme's personality is rather easy going. On good days, he's rather easy to get along with, willing to help and aid whenever he needs to, or whenever he deems necessary. He's particularly good with children more than with older adults and teenagers. He's got a bit of an attachment issue because of his BPD, so he sees everyone in grey. Therefore, because of that, he thinks people who are leaving are leaving and he has a hard time stomaching that, so he doesn't try to let people get close to him. If it wasn't for his brother's constant support and the fact that he was there with Graeme, this boy would honestly feel so lost.

On the dark side, Graeme's darker moods tend to develop faster and quicker than his good moods, unless he works to get himself in a good mood. His darker times manifest with him talking to himself or to inanimate, unseeing creatures. He prefers to run or work out during these moods, as it helps get him focused on something other than his outlying issues. With a clear thought pattern, he tends to return to an okay mood, which is easier to get a good day from. While he's not necessarily angry in his bad days, or even in a bad mood, they're just his "bad days" when he feels like everything is crashing down around him.

Overall, Graeme is really a personality to get to know. While he might be a little dysfunctional on a broad spectrum scale, he is more or less a really friendly guy. He will try to move the world for someone, especially if he really cares for or loves a person. On the opposite side, he could really be aloof and distant, willing to only be in his own world instead of being in the real world. He tends to put studies before communications with people, and he'd rather be in small groups or in singular couple activities rather than large scale, packed parties or places.

Relationship: Graeme isn't the closest to his parents, but his best friend is his older brother. He relies on Lenox for more than just moral and psychological support. It's like, if his brother wasn't around, Graeme would fall apart.

The History

On a wintry day in Edinburgh, Scotland, Graeme was welcomed into the world. Graeme was the middle of three, although he never learned that he had a younger brother. Graeme was six years his brother's junior, and even though they had a big age gap, they were never too far from each other. Growing up, Graeme was nothing but ordinary; he had invisible friends, had real friends, and was always out going and playful. He wanted to be a doctor at a young age, but his grades weren’t that good up until secondary school – that was fine for him. That’s when everything started to change, anyways.

By his first year of secondary school, Graeme was having a hard time focusing, a hard time in school. While he was giving it all he could, he felt disconnected to the world, and got easily distracted. It didn’t help that, all of a sudden, he wouldn’t be able to sleep, or when he did sleep, he’d act peculiar. Maybe it was the fact that his brother had moved out, or some other reason, but his parents were concerned. So, they took a trip to the doctors and when all the testing was done, it was clear that Graemes had Disassociate Identity Disorder.

Once he realized what he had, and he had gotten on medication for it, Graeme was doing much better. While he had moments of complete disassociation with the world, he was generally completely back to what he was. Even though he had medication, dark moods would happen, which concerned his parents. The doctors informed them that nothing was wrong with this, as Graeme was generally happy and himself more often than the few minutes of dark moods a day.

After he graduated secondary school, Graeme didn’t hesitate to jump right into University. It was a hesitant move for the young man, and as he researched schools, the only one that constantly stood out to him was Ragston University in Ozryn, New York. Moving across the world was scary, but he was thankful that he talked to Lenox and his brother agreed to dropping his career as a police officer in London, England, to move to the states. His brother understood the conditions Graeme felt and so they shared an apartment during the summer, and soon, Graeme started his first year at Ragston University.

Suffice to say, his first year wasn’t so hot. He had started to sleepwalk more often again, and he had even started to talk to things that weren’t there, like he was having conversations with people. Lenox was concerned, and so Graeme went to the doctor, where they realized that, by being in such a big city and so far from home, Graeme had developed habits of seeing and hearing hallucinations. Struggling to cope with these, Graeme found that they seemed to disappear when he was focused and outside. Since then, his problems still come up, but as he grows, so do his problems.

Now, as his junior year is starting, Graeme is trying to find his footing in the world. Living with his brother makes everything a little easier, and his path to medicine is almost over, but the question Graeme faces is this: Will he be able to do it?

The Sample

Graeme's fingers tapped idly against the desk he sat at. His leg jerked, agitated and unable to focus. This class was boring -- thank Goodness that it was almost the end of the day. He didn't know what he would do should he have to sit there for longer, waiting and wondering. He shifted, the person next to him giving him a glare for the anxious fidgeting that was causing a distraction. Man, he wanted to run. He didn't want to be in this seat anymore, and casually -- okay, maybe it wasn't exactly casually -- he glanced over at the clock. "Mr. Kyles, is there a reason you're so antsy today?"

Graeme looked up at his professor, who had crossed the distance from the whiteboard to Graeme's seat, and was looking down his nose at the young medical student. The twenty three year old ruffled his hair before sitting up, his leg still jogging underneath his desk, "It's not necessarily because I'm bored," he started, the smile creeping onto his soft features. Graeme had to keep it from breaking -- the mood he was in was threatening to come crashing down, and it was terrible. He shifted slightly in his seat again, and gave a heavy sigh, his shoulders tensing, "I just... it's hard to f--"

And there it was: the bell. The bell that dismissed class. The professor shook his head at the interruption from Graeme's statement of his distraction. Graeme was out of his seat as soon as the professor said that the class was dismissed. He needed a run. He had slipped out of the classroom, the science wing and was greeted by his brother, who rose an eyebrow as Graeme eagerly tossed his bag into the passenger's side of the police cruiser, "No time to talk. Gotta run. I'll meet you at the apartment." He gave a sideways grin to his brother and off he went, running off to burn off steam and to clear his head.
